Episode 8: Finding Your Place
Category : The Podcast
There’s probably nothing quite as peaceful as spending time at the base of a mountain in a log cabin among the pines. It’s a place where we might all like to imagine ourselves at one time or another.
In today’s episode of Champions GO 9-oh! this is where we find Kelly Timberman. He’s preparing for his annual Wyoming trek through the rough terrain of the Rockies in search of elk. But there’s more to the search than looking for elk. It’s also a process of regaining focus. Recharging the batteries and resetting life’s challenges.
So as the PRCA playoffs approach and rodeo athletes are scrambling for a place among the top-15, Kelly reminds us of the importance of finding a place where you can regularly refocus and get your emotions and mental attitudes grounded. It’s a secret that champions know well.
Go 9-oh! for the Road
In this week’s Champions GO 9-oh for the Road we talk about how to find your place. It’s not always in a mountain cabin on an elk hunting adventure. It can be as simple as spending time on the porch with a cup of coffee in the morning.
But it’s what we do in that 15 to 30 minute time frame each morning or evening that makes the difference. Kelly gives us some tips on how to get the most out of your time in that special place.
Remember, it’s the little things you do each day that add up to making big differences. A simple 1% change in course a pilot makes every 5 minutes while flying from Los Angeles to New York will land him in Miami.
